Jodhpur Violence: Many injured including four policemen in a violent clash in Jodhpur, CM Gehlot appealed for peace.

Violent clashes broke out between two communities in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur on Monday night. Internet services have been temporarily suspended in the city to maintain law and order.

State Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony.

It is noteworthy that the fight started with the flag of Islamic symbol instead of hoisting the saffron flag at Balmukand Bissa circle of Jalori Gate Chowk.

The tension between the two sides increased so much that there was heavy stone pelting in the middle of the night. At the same time, many people have been injured in this stone-pelting.

As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and intervened to disperse the crowd, but the crowd had become uncontrollable, so the police had to lathi-charge.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot termed the clash between two groups in Jodhpur as “unfortunate”.

He directed the district administration to maintain law and order at all costs and appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony.

Chief Minister Gehlot tweeted, “It is an unfortunate incident that due to clashes between two groups at Jalori Gate, Jodhpur, there is a tense atmosphere.”

“The administration has been instructed to maintain peace and order at all costs.”

“CM called upon the people to help maintain the law and order situation in line with the “tradition of love and brotherhood of Jodhpur”.

On the flag-raising incident, Jodhpur Police Commissioner Navjyoti Gogoi says that the situation is under control.

The flag march will be taken out. Action will be taken as per law. The police personnel has suffered minor injuries. We are investigating it.

Jodhpur Violence: Internet services are down.

The Jodhpur district administration has suspended internet services after the incident as a precautionary measure in view of the tense atmosphere.

Please inform that internet services are stalled in Jodhpur from 1 pm onwards.

In the order issued by Jodhpur Divisional Commissioner Himanshu Gupta, internet service has been stopped in the entire Jodhpur district.

At the same time, Eid is also there and before this, the administration has lost its sweat due to such ruckus.

2 SHO and 2 constables were injured in the incident

During the violent clash, stones were also pelted at the police who were trying to disperse the crowd. Four policemen were badly injured, including two SHOs and a constable.

Four media persons, who were gathering information about the same incident, are also reported to be injured.

The atmosphere in the city has remained tense since the accident. A large number of police forces have been deployed in view of Eid.

The police have appealed to celebrate the festival of Eid with communal harmony.

Let us tell you that the quarrel took place when some people had put up the saffron flag on the Jalori Gate circle of Jodhpur in view of Parshuram Jayanti.

The people of the other side removed the flag and put the flag with an Islamic symbol, after which all this controversy arose.
