J&K: People of Naushera sector get electricity after 74 years of independence on India-Pakistan LoC.

People living along the Line of Control along the Indo-Pakistan border, who were forced to live in darkness for many years untouched by development, are happy to see the light of the bulbs in their homes today.

After seeing the light of the LED bulb spreading in the houses instead of the slow flame of the candles, these people say that they have got freedom today in the true sense.

Though it has been 74 years since the country was free, away from the basic facilities, development Because of them, not only their children were also under the grip of darkness.

Hundreds of people living in remote and hilly areas in the Naushara sector of Rajouri district J&K were given electricity connections under Saubhagya Bijli Yojana.

Abdul Hameed, living in one such hill village of Naushehra of J&K, expressed his happiness and said that now development will gain momentum in his village too.

Their children will now be able to study not only in daylight but also in bulb light at night. He thanked the government and said that we are very happy after getting the electricity connection.

This is a huge help especially for the better future of their children. It is difficult to operate without electricity. He told that there were more than 300 such houses in the Naushera sector which never had any electricity facility.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Saubhagya Bijli Yojana has eradicated the darkness in their homes today. All houses have been provided with electricity. Earlier, they had to go to the main town for mobile charging too. Everyone is very happy.

You are aware that there were many hilly and remote areas of District Rajouri, where there was no electricity since independence.

After the launch of Saubhagya Bijli Yojana by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25 September 2017, the Jammu and Kashmir administration took the initiative to illuminate such areas and set up new grid, receiving stations to illuminate these villages.

More than 20 thousand houses in the district Rajouri have been illuminated under this scheme.

Assistant Engineer Varun Sadhauta of Naushehra Sub Division said that electric service lines are being transported to villages adjacent to the Line of Control. People are being given electricity connections.

This work will be completed as soon as possible. Sarpanch Sajid Parvez said that there is a positive difference in the people after the electricity comes to the villages.

Earlier these people were forced to leave the village for the education of the children but now they want to stay in their ancestral villages and teach the children. Without electricity their children were facing many problems.
