IPL auction begins, the first bid for Shikhar Dhawan. Today is the first day of the two-day mega auction (IPL Mega Auction 2022) of the Indian Premier League, the world’s biggest cricket league.

It is being organized in Bangalore. This time there are 10 teams in the auction. Two new franchises Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Supergiants are part of it for the first time.

Earlier 590 players were to be auctioned, but now there will be a total of 600 players. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has added the names of 10 players to the auction register.

161 players will be bidding on the first day.

A total of 161 players will be bidding on the first day. The marquee players will be the first to bid. A total of 10 players have been kept on this list.

These include four Indian players Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Mohammed Shami, and Ravichandran Ashwin.

Apart from this, six foreign players are Pat Cummins, Quinton de Kock, David Warner, Kagiso Rabada, Trent Boult, Faf du Plessis.

10 new players were added.

The BCCI has added 10 new names to the auction register just ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, taking the number of players on the list to 600.

These players are Aaron Hardy, Lance Morris, Nivethan Radhakrishnan, Agnivesh Ayachi, Hardik Tramore, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mihir Hirwani, Monu Kumar, Rohan Rana, and Sairaj Patil.

Hardy, Maurice, and Radhakrishnan are from Australia. Apart from these, everyone else is from India.

Deepak Hooda was included in the capped list.

Deepak Hooda made his debut for Team India in the series against West Indies. He has been upgraded to the capped category in the IPL mega auction list.

In the revised auction list, Hooda has joined the list of all-rounders in set number 3. Earlier he was set number 8 and his base price was Rs 40 lakhs, which has increased to 75 lakhs.

Entry of two new teams in IPL: Two new teams have been entered in IPL.

These two teams are Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Supergiants. The Gujarat Titans team, owned by CVC Cattle, roped in Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill ahead of the auction.

The team of Lucknow Supergiants, owned by RP Sanjeev Goenka Group, has roped in KL Rahul, Marx Stoinis, and Ravi Bishnoi.
