India Will Play 1000Th ODI Against West Indies

India will play 1000th ODI against West Indies under the captaincy of Rohit: India vs West Indies first one-day match.

The Indian cricket team will play the first match of the three-match ODI series against the West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

According to Indian time, this match will be organized from 1:30 pm.

Rohit Sharma will captain the team for the first time after being made the full-time captain of the Indian ODI team. At the same time, India will go on the field to play its 1000th ODI match.

India is going to become the first country in the world to play 1000 ODIs and this is a very proud moment for this country and team.

India’s Probable Playing XI.

Rohit Sharma (captain), Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Washington Sundar, Deepak Chahar, Mohd. Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, Famous Krishna.

West Indies Probable Playing XI.

Brandon King, Shai Hope (wk), Darren Bravo, Shamar Brooks, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard (c), Jason Holder, Odeon Smith/Alzarri Joseph, Hayden Walsh, Akil Hossain, Kemar Roach.

In the first ODI against West Indies, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan can open the innings for India, while the responsibility of the middle order will be on Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rishabh Pant.

The Indian middle-order was completely devastated on the South Africa tour, so the Indian batsmen, and especially the middle-order batsmen need to play carefully.

It is believed that Deepak Hooda can start his ODI career through this match.

Virat Kohli will play under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma for the first time and his batting is also going to be monitored.

When it comes to bowling, left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav is back in the ODI squad and Rohit is looking to include him in the playing XI along with his partner Yuzvendra Singh Chahal.

Kuldeep, 27, played his last ODI against Sri Lanka in July last year and has recently returned after undergoing surgery. Young bowler Ravi Bishnoi has also been included in the team.

Born in Jodhpur, this googly bowler is finding it difficult to get a chance at the moment.

In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, Shardul Thakur, Muhammad Siraj, Deepak Chahar, Prashant Krishna, and Avesh Khan also have a good chance of cementing their place.

The West Indies team has come after winning the morale-boosting T20 series against England.

However, here the format is different. The team has ‘power-hitter’ Nicholas Pooran who alone can change the course of the match. He will also try to woo the franchise teams before the IPL auction.

Also, the role of captain Kieron Pollard and veteran all-rounder Jason Holder can also make a difference. Pollard and his team will be desperate to break India’s hopes in their 1000th ODI.
