India gets big relief after a record increase in new cases. Along with the increasing cases of coronavirus infection, the number of people recovering from this epidemic is also increasing rapidly. According to data received from the Union Health Ministry, on Tuesday, 69,921 new cases were reported and 819 patients died during the last 24 hours. A total of 36,91,167 cases have been reported in the country so far.
Of these 7,85,996 are active and 28,39,883 people have been cured. So far 65,288 people have lost their lives in the country from Corona. At the same time, according to the Union Health Ministry, five lakh patients have been cured in the last eight days. The recovery rate of patients has increased to 76.62 percent. However, the death rate has come down to 1.78 percent.
At the same time, India gets a big relief, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of eight lakh 46 thousand 278 samples were tested on Sunday to detect corona infection. So far, four crores of 23 lakh seven thousand 914 samples have been tested.
Center will send its teams to control Corona in four states
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to deploy high-level central teams in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Odisha in view of the increasing cases of corona. The number of deaths from corona infection has also increased in these states. According to the ministry, each team will comprise an epidemiologist and a public health expert. These teams will help states’ health departments to prevent the spread of corona, identify potential infections and better treat patients.
Doctors who lost their lives in treatment should also be considered ‘martyrs’: IMA
The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding that doctors who lost their lives during the treatment of Corona should also be treated as ‘martyrs’ like the military forces. According to their education, government jobs should also be given to the relatives.
In its letter quoting government figures, the IMA has said that so far about 87,000 health workers have been infected with the Corona virus and 573 have died. According to its own figures, 307 doctors have died while 2,006 are infected. Of those who died, 188 are general practitioners.
