India Flood Updates: The situation worsens due to floods in Maharashtra and Assam, people are forced to migrate to Bihar.

Floods have worsened the situation in many states of the country including Assam and Maharashtra.

Due to heavy rains, the water level of the rivers has increased, due to which many villages have been completely submerged.

Rail traffic on the Darbhanga-Samastipur section has been suspended due to floods in Bihar. At the same time, the flood situation in Assam has worsened.

So far three people have died in the state due to floods. About 5.74 lakh people have been affected by the floods in 22 out of 34 districts of Assam.

The Union Home Ministry is monitoring the flood situation. At the same time, 10 teams of NDRF have been deployed in the state for relief work.

Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday took information from Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma regarding the flood situation in the state and assured all possible help from the central government.

The Prime Minister tweeted, spoke to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and learned about the flood situation in the state.

Assured all possible help from the Center to deal with the situation. I also wish for the safety and well-being of the people living in the affected areas.

Around 26 districts of Bihar including Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, and Patna have been affected by the floods due to incessant rains.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Tuesday that an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas of Darbhanga was done.

The Chief Minister informed that financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is being provided to the affected families.

While the state government has decided to start a ‘catch-up’ course for the flood-affected students, Bihar Education Minister Vijay Choudhary said that most of the schools in the flood-affected areas are closed.

I definitely had to do something so that the students would not get into trouble. So we decided to go ahead with the catch-up course.

India Flood Updates: Water has entered most of the school premises, including classrooms, so they are all closed.

The flood situation has turned critical in the Chalisgaon and Jalgaon districts of Maharashtra. As a result, one person died.

Chalisgaon MLA Mangesh Chauhan said that due to heavy rains, 10 villages of Chalisgaon have been flooded.

Meanwhile, many parts of the Kannada taluka of Aurangabad district of Maharashtra were submerged due to incessant rains in the last 24 hours.

Due to rain, a lake in Bhildari village was flooded with water in the nearby areas. Government agencies are facing difficulties in reaching the village for relief work.
