In last 24 hours, 18815 new cases of the corona were recorded in India. 18815 new cases of corona in 24 hours, 38 deaths, recovery rate crosses 98 percent.

After the arrival of 18,815 new cases of coronavirus infection in the country, the total number of infected people increased to 4,35,85,554 while the number of patients under treatment reached 1,22,335.

This information has been given in the data updated on Friday by the Union Health Ministry.

According to the updated figures of 8 am, after the death of 38 more infected, the total number of dead has increased to 5,25,343.

The ministry said that the number of patients under treatment is 0.28 percent of the total cases while the national rate of recovery from Covid-19 is 98.51 percent.

The number of patients under treatment has increased by 2,878 cases during the 24-hour period.

The ministry said that in the last 24 hours, 4,38,005 samples were tested. The daily infection rate was 4.96 percent while the weekly infection rate was recorded at 4.09 percent.

The number of people recovering from the disease increased to 4,29,37,876, while the death rate is 1.21 percent.

According to the ministry, 198.51 crore doses of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine have been given so far in the country under the nationwide vaccination campaign.

Significantly, on 7 August 2020, the number of infected people in the country exceeded 20 lakh, on 23 August 2020, 30 lakh, and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakh.

The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020, and 90 lakh on 20 November.

On 19 December 2020, these cases had exceeded one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, it crossed 30 million.

On January 25 this year, the cases had crossed four crores. In Maharashtra, on Thursday, 2,678 new cases of coronavirus infection were found and eight patients died.

The state health department gave this information. 20 new cases of BA.2.75, a sub-form of Omicron, have also been reported in the state.

New cases of BA.2.75 form were found in the Nagpur division, which includes Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur, and Wardha districts.

These cases emerged from the examination of samples taken between June 15 and July 5.

According to the Health Department, the number of people infected so far in the state has increased to 79,95,729, while the death toll has reached 1,47,964.

On Thursday, 12 new cases of coronavirus infection were found in Ladakh, after which the total number of infected in the union territory has increased to 28,539. The officers provided this information.

He said that all these cases have come up in Leh. According to officials, so far 228 people have died of Covid-19 in Ladakh. These include 168 patients from Leh and 60 from Kargil.
