Hyderabad is being inundated with heavy rains and floods: Worship of the Moosi River similar to 1908. The Musi River floods, which have been affecting the city dwellers for the past few days, have been declining and rising again.
Hyderabad is being inundated with heavy rains and floods. The Musi River was hit by heavy rains. As a result, the city’s Musi catchment area was caught in the flood guppies. In this context, ministers and other public representatives held special pujas to pacify the Musi River.
Telangana Home Minister Mahmud Ali, Minister Talsani Srinivas Yadav, and others paid obeisance to the Moosi River at Puranapul. Bose was presented to Gangamma’s mother along with silk, turmeric, saffron, and flowers.
The event was attended by city mayor Bontu Rammohan, deputy mayor and other public representatives. Mir Mahaboob Ali Khan, the then Nizam’s ruler, also paid special homage to the Moosi River after heavy floods in 1908.
Since then, this is the first time that heavy floods have hit the Moosi River.
The Telangana government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to the flood affected families in Hyderabad. For this, the CM has allocated Rs 550 crore from the relief fund. Financial assistance will be provided to the victims through a committee of three officers.
For this, the government has instructed the authorities to include family and geographical details in the app. The whole process was ordered to be completed on weekdays.
Financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh will be given to those whose houses have completely collapsed and Rs 50,000 to those who have been partially damaged.
Authorities ordered the government to go to the victims’ homes and provide assistance. Aadhaar also said that the details of ration cards should be entered and duplication should be done at once.
It said that the signatures of the three officers along with the family owner should be signed and the same procedure should be implemented in other cities and municipalities. In many places ministers themselves hand out checks for financial assistance to flood victims.
Meanwhile, other states have also announced their support to help Hyderabad, which has been hit hard by heavy rains and floods.
The Tamil Nadu government has allocated Rs. 10 crore and the Delhi government Rs. 15 crore financial assistance announced. Government of Bengal Rs. Announced financial assistance of Rs 2 crore.
