Hyderabad: A tool For Developing Villages By GCOT
Hyderabad: A tool for developing villages and identifying key problems. This is a first-of-its-kind integrated and comprehensive development tool launched by the Gramodaya Chamber of Commerce and Technology (GCOT), a non-profit social enterprise founded by alumni of Osmania University in Hyderabad.
The 3-day virtual conference of the GCOT was inaugurated by the President of Telangana Legislative Council, Gut Sukhendra Reddy on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Executive Chairman of GCOT, Vasant Kumar Damasthapuram said that the ‘Village Monograph’ provides the basic information needed for planning, implementation and understanding of villages based on research and survey, multi-problem information and key problem identification.
Damastapuram said, “The Census Department has surveyed 35 villages and produced monographs in a total of 6.5 lakh villages, which speak of our indifference towards the village and village swaraj. It has taken a look at our political and economic structure- Also showed the anger of the times. “
He further said that the main objective of this NGO is to free the lives of rural residents.
Earlier, to mark the 74th Indian Independence Day, the Gramodaya Bandhumitra Awards were announced by the organization, which will be presented during the conference.
The awards recognize the Ottoman service provided by individuals and institutions that oblige and uplift those who depend on agriculture and allied activities for livelihood.
Chairman of GCOT, Shyam Prasad Reddy said, “GCOT has instituted” Gramodaya Bandhu Mitra Award “to commemorate Gandhi’s birth anniversary, individuals and institutions working on agriculture, rural development and own Gandhian perspective globally.

Start of ‘nutritional month’ program

He said that for this we would like to involve neo parties, NGOs and social organizations.
The Union Minister appealed to the people to participate in the nutrition program. So that this program can succeed. He said that millions of children in the country face health-related problems due to lack of nutritious food. Not only this, children’s lives also go away.
