Congress leaders detained in Goa will find it difficult to get bail, know the reason. Congress leaders were detained in Goa the previous day. Actually, they wanted to meet Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on the issue of Mahanadi water but he could not get the permission after which all were detained.

In the case of the detention of several Congress leaders, including the Vice President of Goa Congress, a worker has made it clear that he will not apply for bail. They demanded that we do not want bail, we want the water from the Mahanadi river. Girish Chodankar (Girish Chodankar), chief of the Congress Party Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC), gave this information.

Chodankar said that the arrested activists wanted to talk to Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on the subject of the Mahanadi river. In this regard, the ministers should give clear answers from the Center. Stating further, the activists only wanted to negotiate the illegal release of the Mahadai River into Karnataka.

Let us know that on Friday, the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar was in Goa, and congress leaders wanted to meet on the issue of the ongoing dispute over the Mahanadi water, but they did not get permission to meet the minister. After this, all these activists were protesting in the lobby of the hotel. In such a situation, the police took all the leaders into custody.

Mahanadi river dispute with Karnataka

Explain that on the issue of ongoing dispute with Karnataka over the water of Mahadayi river, they were demanding to meet Javadekar. When they were not allowed to meet him in the hotel management, all the workers sat on a dharna in the lobby. After this, the police took them into custody and took them to the police station in Panaji.

The leaders who have been detained include Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President Sankalp Amonkar, Youth Congress State President Varad Mardolkar, Jarnadan Bhandari among many others.
