Mishra said that the jawan told that he has been in the Indian Army since 2018. For a long time, he was in touch with the female agent through WhatsApp chat and through WhatsApp audio and video calling.
Mishra told that the woman named Gurnoor Kaur alias Ankita had introduced herself as a woman from Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh working in the Military Engineering Service.
During interrogation, it has come to the fore that 24-year-old Shantimoy Rana is a resident of West Bengal who is serving in the Indian Army since March 2018.
He has been in touch with a female agent of a Pakistani intelligence agency through WhatsApp chat and WhatsApp audio-video yesterday for a long time.
After bringing the accused to Jaipur, a case was registered under the Official Secrets Act 1923 of the State Special Branch, and arrested on Tuesday.
The mobile phone of the accused has been seized for technical analysis and sent for FSL investigation.
