Home Secretary invites J&K leaders to meet PM Modi on June 24.

Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has telephonically invited leaders of various political parties in Jammu and Kashmir to attend the meeting to be held at the Prime Minister’s residence on Thursday.

Telephone calls were made to top leaders of various parties, including former chief ministers Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti.

Home Minister Amit Shah along with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and top security officials had discussed various issues of J&K with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and senior officials in the national capital on Friday.

At the same time, according to the information, the central government is likely to hold a meeting with all the mainstream political parties of the state on June 24.

The agenda of the meeting is to take forward the political process in Jammu and Kashmir and to prepare the atmosphere for the assembly elections.

After the passage of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act on August 5, 2019, this will be the first meeting of the central government with all parties in Jammu and Kashmir to be held together.

J&K BJP: Raina expresses hope, all leaders will participate in the meeting with PM.

State President of Bharatiya Janata Party Ravindra Raina has expressed confidence that leaders of political parties invited for the all-party meeting with the Prime Minister in Delhi will participate in it.

Raina said that the prime minister has called the meeting in line with the aspirations of the heads of various political parties who were seeking time to hold talks with the Prime Minister for a long time.

14 leaders, including four former chief ministers from former Jammu and Kashmir, have been called to the meeting. The Prime Minister is holding this meeting on June 24.

This will be the first meeting in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, in which all the leaders have been invited.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other central leaders will participate in the meeting. Ravindra Raina said that he had also received an invitation from the Prime Minister’s Office to participate in the meeting.

The all-party meeting is being held under special circumstances and it was a long-standing demand of the political parties of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that a new chapter of development has started in Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He thanked the Prime Minister for strengthening the Panchayat Raj and giving justice to different sections of the society.

He said that after the abrogation of Article 370, the refugees and women of West Pakistan have got justice.

Elections to District Development Council, Block Development Council have been held for the first time in 70 years and Panchayats have been empowered.
