Home Minister Amit Shah Addressed public meeting in Imphal- We have changed the face of Manipur in the last 3 years.
Home Minister Amit Shah is on a tour of the North-East. On the second day of his tour, Amit Shah arrived in Manipur today.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Imphal today as part of his Manipur visit. In Imphal here, Amit Shah addressed a public meeting.
During this, Amit Shah said that development has started in Manipur. Amit Shah said that we have changed the face of Manipur in the last 3 years.
The wind of development has changed the picture in Manipur
Home Minister Amit Shah said in a public meeting in Imphal that earlier there was a discussion about the law and order situation of Manipur.
But Manipur has never closed after the formation of the BJP government here. Shah said that now Manipur is on the path of development. In the last three years, we have changed the face of Manipur.
Amit Shah said that earlier the Northeast was known for separatism and violence. But in the last 6 years, almost all the armed groups laid down arms one after the other.
The violence has stopped. I hope the rest of the armed groups will abstain from violence and join the mainstream.
Amit Shah said that earlier people used to face problems of livelihood. Used to be closed here. Due to which people were in trouble.
Amit Shah said that there was no gas in the homes of the people, there was no bread for the children. In 2014, PM Narendra Modi said that both hands should be strong and North East is the second hand.
Shah said that for a long time, the Congress ruled the Northeast, but did nothing, they did not talk to extremist groups.
People were dying and development was disrupted. In the name of development, they did only ‘Bhoomi Pujan’, but we inaugurated those projects.
Reduction in terrorism in the region
The Home Minister said that there used to be floods in this area before, but now there is a flood of development.
He said that there has been a reduction in terrorism here and the terrorists here are waiting to get into the mainstream.
He said that Modi ji took many measures to ensure peace and development in the Northeast .
644 cadres of eight extremist groups surrendered with more than 2,500 weapons and joined the mainstream.

Chief Minister welcomed

Visited in Kamakhya temple
Before leaving for Manipur, Amit Shah went to the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati in Assam. Before visiting Manipur, Amit Shah visited the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati.
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal along with Home Minister Amit Shah and State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also visited here.
Chief Minister took review of preparations in Manipur
Earlier, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Saturday reviewed the preparations for a public meeting at Hapta Kangjeibung in East Imphal district before the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Speaking to a leading news agency, Chief Minister Biren said that he is a true friend of Manipur.
He is visiting the state for the inauguration of several projects here and the beginning of many new projects.
The Chief Minister further said that Shah will hold a meeting with representatives of civil society organizations in the state.
