Hockey Legend Dhyanchand’s biopic announced, more sports biopic films to come in next two years.

In early 2020, there was news that after SounChiriya, director Abhishek Chaubey’s next film will be the biopic of Indian hockey Legend Major Dhyanchand.

Before the year is over, this very special film has been officially announced.

Filmmaker Ronnie Screwvali’s company RSVP has announced this through social media. However, no announcement has been made about the film’s star cast.

We are delighted to announce the biopic of Indian hockey magician Dhyanchand as director Abhishek Chaubey. The film will be released in 2021 or 2022.

Well, in the coming years, there will be a biopic of many sports legends in Bollywood.

Recently, the biopic of chess grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand has been announced, which is being produced by Anand L. Rai.

The star cast of this film has not been announced yet. The film will go on floors in 2021 i.e. shooting will begin.

The biopic of football veteran Syed Abdul Rahim will be released in 2021. The film stars Ajay Devgan in the lead role.

Syed Abdul Rahim is considered the architect of modern football in India. The film will feature National Award Winner Actress Kirti Suresh in a pivotal role.

Tennis star Saina Nehwal’s biopic is also an under production, with Parineeti Chopra playing her character.

The film titled Saina is being directed by Amol Gupte. Shraddha Kapoor was earlier playing the character of Saina in this film.

Female cricketer Mithali Raj’s biopic Shabas Mittu is also in the pipeline. This film is being directed by Rahul Dholakia.

Taapsee Pannu is in the female lead role. The film’s first look was released this year.

Olympic gold medalist shooter Abhinav Bindra’s biopic is also under production, with Harshvardhan Kapoor in the title role.

While Anil Kapoor will also be seen in the film. It is being directed by Kannan Iyer.
