In early 2020, there was news that after SounChiriya, director Abhishek Chaubey’s next film will be the biopic of Indian hockey Legend Major Dhyanchand.

Filmmaker Ronnie Screwvali’s company RSVP has announced this through social media. However, no announcement has been made about the film’s star cast.

Tennis star Saina Nehwal’s biopic is also an under production, with Parineeti Chopra playing her character.
The film titled Saina is being directed by Amol Gupte. Shraddha Kapoor was earlier playing the character of Saina in this film.
Female cricketer Mithali Raj’s biopic Shabas Mittu is also in the pipeline. This film is being directed by Rahul Dholakia.
Taapsee Pannu is in the female lead role. The film’s first look was released this year.
Olympic gold medalist shooter Abhinav Bindra’s biopic is also under production, with Harshvardhan Kapoor in the title role.
While Anil Kapoor will also be seen in the film. It is being directed by Kannan Iyer.
