Himanta Biswa Sarma will be the next Chief Minister of Assam. Himanta Biswa Sarma handed over a letter of support to the Governor, will take an oath with the cabinet tomorrow at 12 noon.

Suspense has ended in the name of the Chief Minister in Assam. Himanta Biswa Sarma has been elected as the leader of the BJP Legislature Party in Assam.

He will be the next Chief Minister of Assam. The oath-taking ceremony of Himanta Biswa Sarma will be held on Monday.

Assam BJP President Ranjit Das said that Hemant Biswa Sarma has handed over the letter to the Governor of Assam along with letters of support from AGP and UPPL.

After that, the Governor has issued an order, in which he has written that Himanta Biswa Sarma has been appointed as the CM.

Earlier Sarma was elected as the leader of the BJP Legislature Party in Assam. Union Minister and BJP leader Narendra Singh Tomar has given this information.

Earlier, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal submitted his resignation to Governor Jagdish Mukhi. Sarbananda Sonowal tendered his resignation even before the BJP Legislature Party meeting in Assam.

Himanta Biswa Sarma also said after being elected leader of the legislative party that he will take an oath with the cabinet at 12 noon on Monday.

Sarbananda Sonowal and Hemant Biswa were called by the BJP high command to Delhi for a meeting.

The two leaders also met BJP President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday in Delhi, where a lengthy discussion over the claim of the new Chief Minister of Assam took place.

On Saturday, three rounds of talks were held for more than four hours between the two leaders, BJP President JP Nadda, Union Minister Amit Shah, and BJP General Secretary (Organization) BL Santosh.

In the first two rounds of these meetings held at Nadda’s residence, the top BJP leadership met Sonowal and Sarma separately.

Narendra Singh Tomar and Arun Singh become central observers.

The BJP nominated Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and party general secretary Arun Singh as the central observers for the election of the Leader of the Legislature Party in Assam.

Apart from this, the Parliamentary Board of the party has also appointed Union Minister G.V. Kishan Reddy has been appointed as the Central Supervisor.

Whereas the party has appointed Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Party General Secretary Bhupendra Yadav as central observers for the election of Leader of Legislature Party in Bengal.
