HD Revanna alleged that CM’s secretary offered a bribe to JDS councilor. Yeddyurappa’s secretary offered a bribe to JDS councilor to join BJP, alleges former minister.

Former Karnataka minister and Janata Dal-Secular (JDS) leader HD Revanna on Friday alleged that Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s political secretary NR Santhosh on Thursday offered Rs 10 lakh to JDS councilor Kalai Arasi to join the BJP.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Revanna said that Santosh has already given Rs 10 lakh and promised to give another Rs 15 lakh after leaving JDS.

HD Revanna alleged that BS Yediyurappa’s political secretary offered a bribe to JDS councilor.

He demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry regarding this. JDS leader Revanna’s statement comes at a time when there are reports of uproar among BJP leaders in the state.

BJP MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi on Friday decided to resign from his post after consulting his well-wishers.

Addressing reporters on Friday, former Karnataka Water Resources Minister Ramesh said, “I have decided to resign from my MLA post following suggestions from seniors, well-wishers.

Also, even if Congress offers me the chief minister’s post, I am not happy with some incidents in the Congress party. I have expressed my opinion to the person who needs to be told. I can’t talk to the media about it.

Amid speculation of resentment among BJP MLAs in the state.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa had on June 18 ruled out any political rebellion and said all issues would be discussed to clear confusion among the members.

Addressing media persons, Yediyurappa had said, “There is no confusion. Only one or two people have spoken to the media and that is being projected exaggeratedly.

They have been doing this since the beginning. In-charge Arun Singh has not even met him. No confusion, no cabinet member is worried.
