Guru Ravidas Jayanti 2022: PM Modi bows his head at Ravidas Vishram Dham temple in Karol Bagh, participates in ‘Shabd Kirtan’.

Ravidas Jayanti is being celebrated across the country today. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Shri Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham Temple in Karol Bagh.

Modi offered prayers at the temple and bowed his head. Security was tight in view of PM Modi’s program.

Earlier, PM Modi on Tuesday said that Sant Ravidas dedicated his life to eradicating evils like casteism and untouchability.

The PM also said that my government has imbibed the spirit of Guru Ravidas in every step and plan.

PM Modi has posted some pictures and a video from his Twitter account.

Modi wrote in the tweet, ‘Today on the auspicious occasion of Ravidas Jayanti, I visited Sri Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham temple in Delhi. Best wishes to all the countrymen on Ravidas Jayanti.’

PM Modi wrote in the visitor’s book, ‘On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great saint Guru Ravidas Ji, I had the privilege of bowing my head at this holy place.

On this special day, he was grateful to have received his blessings. His life dedicated to removing evil practices like caste, untouchability from society is inspiring for all of us.

The PM further wrote that I pray to him for the progress of the country and the harmony of the countrymen.

16th February i.e. today is the birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas Ji. The great saint Ravidas was born on this auspicious occasion.

Saint Ravidas was born on the full moon date of Magha month based on the Hindu calendar, so Ravidas Jayanti is celebrated every year on Magh Purnima.

Sant Ravidas has worked in his life by rising above casteism. He was a benevolent and kind person of a religious nature.

His entire life was devoted to others, in which he continued to guide the well-being of the people and the society.

He taught people to follow the path of devotion. His true words, couplets, and compositions are inspiring for people even today.

On the auspicious occasion of today, President Ram Nath Kovind and other leaders greeted the countrymen on Guru Ravidas Jayanti.
