Govt engaged in connecting poorer and poorer with the Ayushman scheme, you can also help by becoming a friend of Ayushman.

After providing free and cashless treatment to the two crores poor under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the government has joined the campaign to connect more and more poor to it.

Under the scheme, only 12 crore Ayushman cards have been made in the country, while about 55 crore people were to get benefits under this.

Initiating the online process of making Ayushman Mitra, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya stressed the need to connect more and more people to this scheme.

In the new process, any person can become Ayushman Mitra by registering online. After this, he will get the list of all the beneficiaries of his area.

Ayushman Mitra can help the beneficiaries of their locality to get Ayushman cards by giving information about the scheme.

Along with this, the National Health Authority will work with the state governments to find the beneficiaries.

RS Sharma, CEO of, National Health Authority said that it is proving difficult to find the beneficiaries from the list prepared on the basis of the 2011 socio-economic census.

For this, a campaign was launched before the second wave of Corona, in which three crore new beneficiaries were identified.

The physical card now instead of digital

Along with the identification of beneficiaries, the National Health Authority has now started giving Ayushman cards in physical form instead of digital.

Ayushman card in physical form will give a feeling of being his/her beneficiary to the poor person.

Apart from this, an authorization letter will be given to the beneficiary at the time of hospitalization.

In which it will be clearly written that under Ayushman Bharat, the beneficiary has the right to free treatment up to five lakh rupees.

Not only this but a felicitation letter will also be given at the time of discharge from the hospital after treatment, in which full details of the treatment will also be given.

Govt engaged in connecting more people with Ayushman scheme: Re-determination of expenditure on diseases.

Along with reaching the beneficiaries, the National Health Authority has also started preparations to connect more and more private hospitals.

For this, the expenditure on the treatment of various diseases is being re-fixed.

Till now many private hospitals were not joining the Ayushman scheme saying that the rates for various diseases have been kept so low, on which they cannot treat.

At present, about 23 thousand hospitals in the country are associated with the Ayushman scheme. Of these, there are 14 thousand government and nine thousand private hospitals.
