General Dwivedi Said Army Is Equipped With Better Equipment

General Dwivedi said Army is equipped with better equipment and is capable of giving a tough answer to every misadventure of China-Pak.

Northern Command chief Lt General Upendra Dwivedi said that the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh is normal.

The Indian Army is currently negotiating with China in a powerful position. There is no longer a situation of scuffles.

It is ensured through the media that there is no situation of confrontation between the soldiers on both sides.

Talking to the media at the Northern Command Headquarters in Udhampur, Dwivedi said that the Army, is maintaining the highest level of vigil along the India-China border.

The army is not leaving any stone unturned regarding operational preparedness.

We do not want a repeat of the April 2020-like situation along the Line of Actual Control. At present, there is no such dispute which should lead to violence.

He, however, clarified that the army, well-equipped, is capable of giving a tough response to any misadventure from across the border.

Our jawans are constantly keeping an eye on every nefarious act of the enemy. Strong answers are also given when needed.

He said that talks between the two armies have also picked up at a lower level. Along with this, there is constant contact on the hotline as well.

This is being done to ensure that the soldiers on both sides do not touch each other. Small disputes are being resolved by meeting together.

Ideological differences are discussed at the level of the Corps Commander and the Ministry of External Affairs.

He said that the Corps Commander level talks were held in March this year. The conversation is progressing. During this, patience is exercised.

Army Commander said that we want peace on the Line of Actual Control. Our trust was broken in April 2020.

This trust needs to be restored. This will happen only when the forces withdraw to a safe distance from the Line of Actual Control.

By doing so, the situation of conflict will end. We and the Ministry of External Affairs have the same opinion on this.
