G7 Foreign Ministers Gathered To Discuss Russia, China, And Iran

G7 foreign ministers gathered to discuss Russia, China, and Iran.

The foreign ministers of seven of the world’s richest countries, the G7, started discussions on the burning topics of the world in the city of Liverpool, the UK on Friday.

This discussion between the foreign ministers will last for two days.

At the very beginning of the discussion, these countries have signaled to Russia that they should be prepared to face severe economic sanctions if it invades Ukraine.

On Friday evening, British Secretary of State Liz Truss welcomed US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his other G7 counterparts.

Here all these people will hold talks on various issues of the world for two days and will discuss increasing cooperation to maintain peace and stability.

The meeting will mainly discuss Russia’s military mobilization on the Ukraine border, China’s growing power in the Indo-Pacific region, and Iran’s increasing efforts to build nuclear weapons.

Along with this, the status of corona infection in the world and the status of vaccination in the affected countries will also be discussed.

The G7 includes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan in addition to the UK and US. The UK is the chair of the group for the current year.

The truce warned this week that talks in Vienna were the last chance to revive the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran. If these talks are not successful then other alternative steps will be considered.

Despite this warning from Britain, Iran’s attitude did not loosen and the postponed talks of the two sides in Vienna last week could not start.

G7 foreign ministers gathered to discuss Russia, China, and Iran: Meanwhile, efforts are on to refine uranium to make Iran’s nuclear weapon.

It is noteworthy that in 2018, this agreement was thrown into trouble after the then US President Donald Trump withdrew from this agreement and imposed sanctions on Iran.

Now America is ready to join it again but Iran is adamant about lifting the sanctions first.

The truce also warned Russia that any military action against Ukraine would be a strategic mistake for Russia, which would result in huge economic and diplomatic losses.

US Secretary of State Blinken has also issued a similar warning to Russia. Russia was expelled from this powerful economic group after Ukraine’s annexation of Crimea in 2014.
