Former Deputy Provincial President Of NC Anil Dhar Resigns

Former Deputy Provincial President of NC Anil Dhar resigns says the party cares only for a particular community.

Let us tell you that in the meeting of the Delimitation Commission held in New Delhi on Monday, a proposal to give six seats in the Jammu division and one in the Kashmir division was issued.

The three members, including Dr. Farooq Abdullah, who was present in the meeting, raised objections to this.

After this, the Kashmir Center parties also opposed this decision and started expressing their reaction.

During this, NC’s State VP and former CM Omar Abdullah wrote on his Twitter handle that the draft recommendation of the Jammu and Kashmir Delimitation Commission is unacceptable.

The distribution of newly created assembly constituencies, giving six seats to Jammu and one seat to Kashmir, is not fair as per the 2011 census data.

Describing the commission’s decision as “extremely disappointing”, he wrote that the commission appears to have allowed the political agenda of the BJP to decide its recommendations and not on figures.

This is not acceptable. The way the Commission had promised to have a scientific approach, is not so. Looking at the proposal, it seems that it is a political approach.

Former Deputy Provincial President of NC Anil Dhar resigns: Other leaders of the National Conference also expressed strong objections to this proposal.

Angered by the reaction of NC party leaders who claimed to be true well-wishers of Kashmiri Pandits, Anil Dhar resigned, saying that the commission did not reserve any seats even for displaced Kashmiri Pandits in the assembly elections.

It is a matter of regret that these leaders of the National Conference neither raised any objection to this nor talked about it before the commission.

Apart from this, NC is also not doing any work for the return of Kashmiri Pandits.

Kashmiri Pandits – Citizens from POK sought political rights, urged to give representation in the assembly.

The proposed delimitation draft of Jammu and Kashmir has angered the Kashmiri Pandit community and the citizens of POK.

They urged the Delimitation Commission and the Central Government to ensure their representation in the Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir.

They said that at the time of implementation of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had assured to make us politically empowered.
