Meanwhile, Congress has started a campaign in support of the farmers. The party has also decided to celebrate ‘Farmers’ Rights Day’ on 15 January.

The Indian Youth Congress on Saturday launched a nationwide campaign ‘A handful of soil martyrs’ to pay tribute to the farmers who lost their lives during the agitation against the new agricultural laws.
According to Indian Youth Congress (IYC) President Srinivas Biwi, under this campaign, the soil will be collected from the villages of farmers who lost their lives during the protest and it will map India.
Giving this information, Srinivas Biwi said that under this campaign, the workers of the Indian Youth Congress will be sent to the villages of the martyred farmers.
They will gather a handful of soil from there and bring it to the Indian Youth Congress office in New Delhi.
Earlier, the spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), Rakesh Tikait, claimed that a total of 60 farmers have lost their lives so far during the ongoing protests against the new agricultural laws.
Criticizing the government, Srinivas said that the government has become dumb, deaf and dictator.
Srinivas Biwi said during this time, ‘Through non-violent and democratic means, farmers are agitating against all three agricultural laws in this scorching cold.
Tear gas shells and water canons are being used on them, which shows the dictatorial attitude of the government.

Chakhari Naresh Tikait, national president of Bhakiyu, has left for Delhi from his residence Sisauli with supporters.
He will join the peasant movement running along the Delhi border with supporters through Budhana, Barot, Baghpat.

He said that the BJP government does not want the Annadata to be happy and prosperous. In such a situation, movement is the only option.
The farmer will not accept the forced law at any cost. There is an appeal to the farmer families to keep an eye on their fields and also to encourage the food provider on the Delhi border.
He said that if the government wants a confrontation then the farmer will not back down.
