ED Raided Former Minister Gayatri Prajapati’s Hideouts

ED raided former minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati’s hideouts in mining scam: UP Mining Scam.

The ED has on Wednesday raided seven locations in Lucknow, Kanpur, and Amethi, former Minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati in the mining scam under the Samajwadi Party regime in Uttar Pradesh.

The ED has also questioned Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, who is lodged in Lucknow jail in connection with rape and fraud.

In the mining scam, former SP government minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati’s troubles have increased.

ED has conducted raids at seven locations in Lucknow, Kanpur and Amethi of Gayatri of Money Laundering.

His house and office in Lucknow, his chartered accountant in Kanpur and benami holders in Amethi have been searched.

The ED had also questioned Gayatri Prasad Prajapati for a long time. CBI investigation is also going on in the SP scam. The ED is preparing to seize the assets of the former minister.

In fact, Gayatri Prasad Prajapati had approved the allocation of eight leases while being the Minister of Mines.

Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav also approved the allocation of 14 leases as the Minister of Mining. The ED is investigating the case of money laundering in the Hamirpur mining scam.

In this case, the role of the then mining minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati was revealed in the interrogation of the other accused including the then DM Hamirpur B. Chandrakala and SP MLC Ramesh Mishra.

The ED also got details of several Benami properties of Gayatri.

Explain that the mining scam in UP happened in the Samajwadi Party government between 2012 and 2016. CBI is investigating the scam on the orders of Allahabad High Court.

The High Court had ordered the investigation of illegal mining on July 28, 2016, on two separate PILs.

In the investigation, CBI found evidence of illegal mining on a large scale in Hamirpur district during the year 2012-16, which resulted in a massive loss of government revenue.

Recently, CBI had raided 22 places of Gayatri Prasad Prajapati in illegal mining scam.

Gayatri Prajapati was a mining minister in the Samajwadi Party government. He is accused of illegal mining.

Along with this, he is also accused in the gang rape case with the woman. CBI has registered a case against 11 people for illegal mining.
