DJ Halli Violence – Decision to Investigate Led by Magistrate; There is no indemnity from rioters. The state government has decided to investigate the Bengaluru riot case under the direction of District Judge instead of SIT or CID. The government has stepped in according to the Human Rights Commission’s guidelines.

The state government has decided to hand over the probe to the District Magistrate Judge in the riot case that took place in the village of Dj Halli last night. This has led to rumors that an investigation by the CID or the IT team could be conducted.

The decision was made after Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai met Yeddyurappa. Basavaraj Bommai said the decision was made to conduct an inquiry headed by a district judge on the advice of the National Human Rights Commission.

The current situation and the actions taken by the police are reviewed. The Commission said it would conduct an inquiry under the direction of the District Judge as per the guidelines laid down in the National Human Rights Commission. The Home Minister made it clear that he will continue to do so.

There has also been news that the state government is issuing an order to quell the riots. The losses from the riots in the Uttar Pradesh were attributed to the rioters themselves.

Similarly, the Home Minister said that action would be taken in the state. However, after meeting with the chief ministers, Tilanjali said the decision. The government has decided to act only as a human rights commission.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yeddyurappa has taken the incident of journalists who had gone to reporters at the riot site yesterday, seriously. CM has instructed Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai to ensure that journalists have greater security when it comes to reporting at risk sites such as riots.

Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Deputy Chief Minister Ashwathanarayana, and Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda also visited the riots. State Police Director General Praveen Sood said the minister had been informed of the damage. Commissioner Kamal Pant and ADGP Amar Kumar Pandey were also present.

The minister also visited the DJ Village Police Station and the KG Village Police Station, which had caused outrage in the riots. The house of Congress MLA Akhand Srinivasamoorthy, who was burnt down, was also inspected.

Union minister and former chief minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda said it was the biggest incident in recent times. He defended the firing of the police, saying the police had timely taken control of the riots. His decision to control the riot by firing is correct.

Such was the case in the back of the DJ village. Then it took five days to bring it under control. However, the decision of the Commissioner of Police has come to control the situation in a single day. No criminal can escape. DVS said the incident will be investigated impartially.
