Digital Village: 20 Lakh People Will Get Employment In 1000 Days

Digital Village: 20 lakh people will get employment in 1000 days, the picture of 4.5 lakh villages will change. About 4.5 lakh villages of the country are going to change in the next 1000 days under the Digital Village programme. After the next 1000 days, new opportunities will emerge in these villages, from youth to women. For every purpose, they do not have to go to the city to visit government offices. With these villages becoming digital, this is going to be possible.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on 15 August last that the laying of optical fiber cabling in all the remaining villages would be completed in the next 1000 days. Right now optical fiber laying has been completed in about 1.5 lakh villages in the country. This work will be completed in the remaining 4.5 lakh villages.

How will the appearance of villages change

Dinesh Tyagi, CEO of the Common Service Center (CSC), which works under the Ministry of IT and Electronics, said that once the arrival of optical fiber in these villages, one common service center will be opened in each village. The opening of a center will provide jobs to at least five people. Accordingly, at least 20 lakh people will get direct employment.

With the opening of CSC, villagers will get many facilities from education to treatment and they will not have to go to the city for every work. One village level entrepreneur (VLE) will be appointed in every village, who will arrange to sell the crops of the villagers at home. Banking facility will also be available in the villages only.

Benefits of optical fiber

Dinesh Tyagi said that with the arrival of optical fiber, the speed of internet will be increased there and it will be easier to run the desktop. Villagers will be able to sell their products through e-commerce. The government can also allow them to join the government e-market for the sale of products made in villages. But all this is possible only when the internet speed is faster, which is possible only with optical fiber.

All villages will be added under BharatNet program

According to experts, the economy is only possible in the corona period, or even after that the broadband speed is fast. According to the Department of Telecommunications, the work of connecting all villages with optical fiber is going on under the BharatNet program, which has fallen behind schedule. But now the Prime Minister himself has set a target of 1000 days, so surely this work will be completed in due time. According to experts, to make the country self-reliant, the facility of the internet available through cable is necessary for every village of the country.
