Dhaka Metropolitan Police Has Arrested Terrorist Rizwan Rafique

Dhaka Metropolitan Police has arrested Terrorist Rizwan Rafique for inciting violence during PM Modi’s visit to Dhaka.

The Intelligence Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police has arrested Rizwan Rafique, a member of the terrorist organization Hefazat-e-Islam.

He is accused of inciting violence in Dhaka during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bangladesh in March.

Additional Commissioner of Intelligence Branch AKM Hafiz Akhtar (A.K.M. Hafiz Akhter) said that Rafiq was arrested from Mugda area on Friday night.

A case was registered against him at the Paltan Police Station in connection with the violence on March 26 in Dhaka. He was opposing PM Modi’s visit to Bangladesh.

Akhtar said that Rizwan had shared provocative posts on Facebook and other social media platforms and also supported top leaders of terrorist organizations on other internet media platforms.

In March this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a two-day visit to Bangladesh. This was his first foreign trip after the Corona period began.

During his visit, the Prime Minister also participated in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh’s independence.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi spoke extensively on India-Bangladesh relations, shared heritage, and common goals of both countries.

Prime Minister Modi also mentioned India’s role in Bangladesh’s independence, the sacrifices of Indian soldiers, and the role of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Apart from this, the Prime Minister, referring to the atrocities and genocide of the Pakistani army during the liberation struggle.

He said that there is not as much discussion in the world of those atrocities and repression as it should be.

Referring to the strong ties between the two countries, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that both India and Bangladesh are democratic countries and our heritage is also common.

Our development is also common, our goals are also common and our challenges are also common. We have similar prospects in trade and industry, so there are also similar threats like terrorism.
