Devastation in Yemen, the death toll in the airstrike on the prison rises to 82. The death toll in an airstrike on a prison in Yemen’s Saada province has risen to more than 80.

According to the information, an aid group quoted health ministry data on Saturday.

Group said that at least 82 people have been killed in an airstrike by the Saudi-led coalition on a prison located in Yemen’s Saada province.

More than  266 people have been injured. The aid group said that the death toll could be higher as rescue operations were still underway.

Devastation in Yemen: In fact, a few days ago, Houthi rebels targeted a main international airport in the United Arab Emirates.

A fire broke out at the main airport in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi on Monday and three fuel tankers exploded. Three people, including two Indian nationals, were killed.

Yemen’s Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the attack. After which the Saudi-led military coalition carried out airstrikes on the prison run by Houthi rebels.

So far more than 80 people have been confirmed dead in this airstrike. According to the staff of the aid group, the jail has been completely ruined in this attack.

The conflict in Yemen began in 2014 after Houthi rebels captured the capital Sanaa and most of northern Yemen.

After this, the government was forced to flee to the south. However, a US-backed Saudi-led coalition entered the Yemen war months later.

Then this conflict has turned into a regional war. In which thousands of civilians and fighters have been killed so far.

This war has created the world’s worst humanitarian crisis and millions of people in Yemen struggle with food and medical care.

The ongoing war in Yemen has brought this country to the brink of famine. The United Nations has described the situation in Yemen as the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed concern about the continuing airstrikes in Yemen and called on parties to the conflict to exercise maximum restraint.
