Congress eyes on Hindi-speaking OBC vote bank in Maharashtra, Uddhav government will bring an ordinance.

While the BJP is trying to strengthen its hold on the Hindi-speaking vote bank of Maharashtra, Congress has now set its eyes on the Hindi-speaking Other Backward Class (OBC) vote bank.

According to an estimate, the population of this class among Hindi speakers is close to 70 percent.

While BJP is agitating for political reservation for OBCs in Maharashtra, Maha Vikas Aghadi also does not want to let this big vote bank get out of hand.

With this view, the Uddhav government is preparing to bring an ordinance to give reservations to OBCs. On Wednesday itself, the Uddhav cabinet has passed a proposal to bring such an ordinance.

Under which, while giving reservations to all classes, the total reservation should not exceed 50 percent.
