Congress leader Vinay Kulkarni conspires to murder BJP worker in filmy manner, CBI tells in charge.

Former minister and Congress leader Vinay Kulkarni had visited Delhi before the assassination of BJP worker Yogesh Gowda in Karnataka. He did this to hide his involvement in the murder.

He made this trip on 15 June 2016. Yogesh was also killed on this date. On the recommendation of the state government, the CBI, which is investigating the carnage, has said that he came to Delhi on a flight on June 15, 2016, at 11:30 am.

He returned to Karnataka the next day at 10:40 am. The ticket was also taken on the day of the journey. The purpose of this trip was to hide his own involvement in the murder case.

Case of murder of BJP worker Yogesh Gowda

The investigation reveals Kulkarni’s closeness with the accused. After this, CBI has also made Kulkarni accused by adding all the links. Congress does not agree with this argument of CBI.

Congress has already said that Kulkarni is being implicated in this case unintentionally. He has nothing to do with this massacre.

Yogesh was murdered under a political conspiracy

Meanwhile, the special court on Monday sent Kulkarni to judicial custody. Significantly, Yogesh was killed in June 2016 outside a gym in Dharwad, Karnataka.

The family had alleged that Yogesh was killed under a political conspiracy. There was a Congress government in the state at that time. After investigation, the police arrested six accused in this murder case and filed a charge sheet in September 2016.

He gave the reason for the murder as mutual rivalry. After the change of government in the state, its investigation was handed over to the CBI on 24 September 2019.

The CBI filed a chargesheet against eight accused on 21 May 2020. He had told in the charge sheet that Yogesh was murdered under a well-planned conspiracy.
