RTI activist Nadeemuddin sought information
Kashipur resident information rights activist Nadeem Uddin Advocate had sought information regarding MP fund expenditure from the office of Rural Development Commissioner, Uttarakhand.
In response to his RTI, MP Public Fund Officer / Deputy Commissioner (Administration) Hargovind Bhatt with his letter no. 3108 of MP fund expenditure till December 2020. Details are provided.
According to which details of the MP fund expenditure of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs of Uttarakhand till the end of December 2020 have been given. The current Lok Sabha MPs of Uttarakhand have got the MP funds of 2019-20 only.
MP Ajay Tamta spent 89 percent of the fund.
Almora MP Ajay Tamta has been made available for approval of MP fund of 250.23 lakh including interest, out of which 89 percent 223.75 lakh MP fund has been spent till December 2020.
Haridwar MP and Union Cabinet Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal has received MP funds of 250 lakhs in 2019-20, out of which no amount has been spent.
Not only this, but 10 percent of their previous tenure amounting to 71.25 lakh is also to be spent.
Pauri MP and current Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat have received MP funds of 250 lakhs for 2019-20. Out of which only eight percent 20.25 lakhs have been spent till December 2020.
Pradeep Tamta spent 86 percent of the funds in the Rajya Sabha MP.
In 2019-20, Tehri MP Mrs. Rajalakshmi Shah has got MP funds of 250 lakhs out of which 77 percent of the amount of 192.46 lakhs has been spent.
Nainital MP Ajay Bhatt has got MP funds of 251.21 lakhs with interest out of which 61 percent 152.61. Lakhs of MP funds have been spent till December 2020.
Among the Rajya Sabha MPs of Uttarakhand, Pradeep Tamta has got MP funds of 1513.11 lakhs in 2016-17 with interest till 2019-20, out of which 86 percent 1302.30 lakh MP funds have been spent till December 2020.
Ex-MP Raj Babbar has got MP funds of 2286.61 lakhs with interest from 2015-16 to 2019-20, out of which 91 percent of MP funds of 2084.52 lakhs have been spent.
Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni has got the MP fund of Rs 504.22 lakh for 2018-19, including interest. Out of which only 20 percent 102.22 lakhs have been spent till December 2020.
