The spokesperson said that he was caught only after a thorough investigation. During the investigation of a terror case, the police came to know that he had provided some SIM cards to terrorists. For this, he used to tamper with the documents submitted by common people for SIM cards or issue SIM cards based on incomplete forms and make them available to terrorists.
Investigation revealed that he tampered with a genuine voter ID card and used it to issue a SIM card against a person who did not exist.
As a seller, the accused had also mentioned fake and incomplete details in the Customer Application Form (CAF) with the aim of issuing a SIM card to a person who did not exist. Investigation revealed that he had supplied SIM cards to terrorists, and the terrorists were using them.
