Among those arrested, 24 people are residents of Korba, Mungeli, Bemetara, and other districts. Seven separate FIRs have been registered in the case.

It is worth noting that the controversy over the installation and removal of the flag in Kawardha had taken the form of a communal riot on Sunday.

There was a lot of tension between the two sects. SP Garg said that the accused are being identified from the video footage and photos found through various mediums.

Kawardha Collector Ramesh Kumar Sharma said that common people will be able to do their work by moving within the city from 10 am to 2 pm.

During this, the boundaries of the city will remain sealed as before. Outsiders will not be able to enter the city. However, the internet facility has been restored.

There was peace and tranquility in Kawardha city on Saturday, five days after the communal uproar. Markets open. The vendors also decorated the shops.

However, in view of the security, the markets were closed in the evening. During this, the police remained alert.

The state government has termed the Kawardha incident as a conspiracy of the BJP.

Senior MLAs and ministers Ravindra Choubey, Mohammad Akbar, and Premsai Singh Tekam held a press conference on Saturday and accused the BJP of conspiring to give a communal color to the dispute between two people.

However, during this, Choubey also admitted that there was an administrative lapse in the matter initially.
