Champions League: Manchester City Face Lyon Club

Champions League: Manchester City faces Lyon in the final quarter-finals today. An interesting match is expected between the two teams. Manchester City went on to surprise Real Madrid while Lyon shocked Juventus.

English football club Manchester City and French club Lyon will face off in the final quarter-finals of the Uefa Champions League on Saturday late night. The match will be played in Lisbon, Portugal. Manager Pep Gordiola’s team will be eyeing City for a second time in the league’s semi-finals.

However, an interesting match between the two teams is expected as Manchester City have reached here by defeating Spanish team Real Madrid, while Lyon have traveled so far by stunning Italy’s Serie-A winning team Juventus. City’s team finished second in the English Premier League this season, while they were eliminated from the semi-finals in the FA Cup.

At the same time, Lyon’s manager Rudy Garcia knows that his team has reached the quarter-finals due to away goals, but the French team had scored two goals against Juventus, showing that they too will not give up easily.

Lyon is playing in the quarter-finals for the first time since the 2009–10 season. However, in this match, City will have to go on the field without Sa Jio Aguero and the responsibility of scoring goals will be on the shoulders of Gabriel Jesus, who did well against Real Madrid.

Jesus has scored six goals this season in the Champions League, while he has assisted in three. Benjamin Mendy will be available for the playing eleven after the ban.

City defender Kyle Walker said that this title is important to us and we want to win it under all circumstances. At the same time, Lyon striker Moses Dembele did not play in the last-16 second leg match against Juventus, but he can take the field against City.
