Chain snatching accuse committed suicide in the police station and died in the bathroom on the pretext of bathing: Andhra Pradesh.

A case of harassment of a man by the police has come to light at a police station in Eluru district of Andhra Pradesh.

In the case of chain snatching, the accused committed suicide in the police station. There has been a stir in the police administration after the accused committed suicide.

The deceased has been identified as Manipalli Appa Rao. He is accused of chain snatching. SP Rahul Dev Sharma said that Manipalli’s body was found hanging in the bathroom of the police station.

He was brought to the police station on the charge of chain snatching

The police officer said that the accused was brought to the police station on May 1 on charges of chain snatching.

On May 4, he went to the bathroom to take a bath. He further told that the accused made a noose with the help of a curtain and hanged himself to death.

The accused was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, but he died.

Custodial death case registered.

The SP further said that a case of custodial death has been registered in the matter. At present, the matter is being investigated. He also said that according to the rules, action will be taken in this.
