BJP State President Ashwani Sharma’s car attacked in Ferozpur, farmers reached barricades. BJP leaders in Punjab are facing farmers’ opposition.
In Ferozepur, farmers once again attacked the vehicle of the party’s Punjab head Ashwani Sharma. However, the police are denying the attack.
Ashwani Sharma had reached City Plaza on Malwal Road to meet party workers for the city council elections.
The farmers were already sitting on a dharna outside the palace on the information of the BJP state president’s arrival. On the arrival of Ashwani Sharma, the farmers removed the barricading imposed by the police.
During this, the police also used mild force on the farmers. Farmers also tried to remove the turban of former BJP MLA Sukhpal Singh Nannu.
Farmer leader Harnek Singh Atith said that the attackers were not farmers, but were anti-social elements. At the same time, the police denied the attack on Sharma’s car.
