BJP Legislature Party Meeting In Manipur Today

BJP Legislature Party meeting in Manipur today, Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Kiren Rijiju will be present.

Discussions are going on in Manipur regarding the workload of the next state government in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which came to power for the second time in a row.

No name has been clarified on the state’s leadership yet. In this episode, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Kiren Rijiju will go to Imphal this morning (March 20) along with Biren Singh and Biswajit Singh. BJP Manipur Legislature Party meeting is likely to be held at 3 pm.

Meetings are being held by BJP central leaders to discuss the name of Manipur’s next chief minister and government formation.

On Monday, the BJP Parliamentary Board appointed Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as Central Observer.

While Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju as Co-Observer for the election of Manipur BJP Legislature Party leader.

Who will attend the meeting?

In this special meeting, along with the BJP’s central leadership, Manipur’s caretaker Chief Minister N Biren Singh and BJP leader Vishwajit Singh will also discuss government formation with the party’s top leadership.

According to the news agency, it has been told that the meeting of the BJP Manipur Legislature Party may start at 3 pm on Sunday.

N Biren Singh and Vishwajit Singh are being seen as the frontrunners for the post of Chief Minister of Manipur.

At the same time, in the midst of all these discussions, CM Biren Singh had said that he never contested for CM or any other post.

He considers himself a worker of the BJP.

He said, ‘I never contested for CM or any other post, but as a worker of my party. The decision (on the face of the Chief Minister) will be taken by the higher officials.

I have come to Delhi to meet the central leadership of the BJP. Be it chief minister or no chief minister, I am the one who has worked in the interest of the party and will continue to do so.

On the other hand, Biswajit Singh has also refused to comment on the speculations about him in the race for the next Chief Minister of the state.

Speaking to media persons in New Delhi, Biswajit Singh said, ‘I don’t want to comment on that.

We are not a group amongst ourselves, that’s for sure. BJP is a democratic party, and the leadership will decide it (CM issue).

Let us tell you that in the recently concluded assembly elections in Manipur, BJP secured a clear majority by winning 32 seats in the 60-member house.
