BCCI Took Big Decision Regarding The Domestic Season

BCCI took big decision regarding the domestic season, announced the groups for Ranji Trophy.

Starting from January 5 next year, the new season of the Ranji Trophy will be organized in six cities.

During this, each team will have to be in a mandatory five-day quarantine before each of their matches.

The BCCI has also informed that all teams will be allowed to keep a maximum of 30 members, which will include 20 cricketers and 10 support staff members.

Group C, known as the Group of Death, consists of the star-studded teams from Mumbai, Karnataka, and Delhi, along with multiple-time champions Hyderabad, Maharashtra, and Uttarakhand.

Last year’s runners-up Bengal got an easy group. It is in Group B along with Vidarbha, Haryana, Kerala, Tripura, and Rajasthan.

The defending winners Saurashtra, Tamil Nadu, Railways, J&K, and Goa are in Group D.

Group A is equally fun, with teams from Gujarat, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Services, and Assam.

Group E consists of Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Baroda, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Puducherry.

The Plate Group consists of teams from Chandigarh, Meghalaya, Bihar, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh.

Group A matches will be held in Mumbai, B and C in Bangalore, D in Ahmedabad, E in Thiruvananthapuram, and Plate Group in Chennai.

The BCCI has decided to organize several domestic tournaments this time around, including the Ranji Trophy as well as the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament.

BCCI took a big decision regarding the domestic season: The BCCI has prepared the day-wise schedule and has sent emails to all the state associations asking which stadium is ready for the matches.

The BCCI has given an extension till September 1 for this. The BCCI has also informed that the knockout matches of the 2021-22 season of the Ranji Trophy will be played in Kolkata.

At the same time, the knockout matches of the Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament will be held in Delhi.

The knockout matches of the Vijay Hazare tournament to be played in the ODI format in India will be held in Chennai.
