The minister said that this is the tunnel of dreams of the Lahuli. So every Lahuli is eagerly awaiting the opening moment. In 2002, the former Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the road at the South Portal of Rohtang. The Congress took ten years to start the tunnel work.

Chief Secretary Anil Khachi will take feedback regarding preparations with Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police and Chief Medical Officers of Kullu and Lahul Spiti districts in a meeting to be held through video conferencing
