Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Dr. Mishra said on Tuesday that the connection of Altmash, arrested for plotting riots in Indore, has come to the fore not only with Pakistan but also with the Taliban.
Some such evidence has been found which shows that he has also had talks with the Taliban. However, the matter is still under investigation.
As the investigation progresses, the names of many people will come to the fore.
Along with this, the Home Minister said that as the investigation progresses, many more people will come forward.

After the video of the beating went viral, a section of people gheraoed the police station in protest at night. Altmash was one of the people who laid siege to the police station.

According to an RTI reply given to Pune-based activist Prafulla Sarda, from 2010 to February 2021, there were 14,411 incidents of cross-border shelling in which 267 people lost their lives.

It included 1,178 firings between 2010-2014 during the Congress-led UPA government and from 2015 to February 2021 under the BJP-led NDA government. 13,235 firing incidents are involved.
Sarada said that a total of 138 security personnel lost their lives in the deaths recorded at the border.
This includes 20 deaths between 2010-2014 and 118 from 2015 to February 2021, nearly six times over seven years.
The same is the case with 129 civilian deaths, which increased from 18 (2010-2014) to 111 in 2015 to February this year. This is a six-fold jump in figures.
It has been learned through RTI that 664 jawans suffered injuries during this period. Of these, 97 were injured during 2010-2014 and the remaining 567 soldiers during 2015 to February 2021.
During the same period, the civilian population living near the borders was injured by 132 people in 2010–2014, a four-fold increase to 576 under the NDA rule.
Sarda says the RTI disclosures have revealed how borders have become unsafe for both the security forces and the civilian population under NDA Prime Minister Narendra Modi as compared to the UPA tenure of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
