After Galwan, China felt the need for better training: General Bipin Rawat.
Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat on Tuesday said that after face-offs with the Indian Army in the Galwan Valley and other places along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh last year.
The Chinese Army felt that better training is required. CDS Rawat said that Chinese soldiers are mainly recruited for a short duration.
They do not have much experience in fighting in difficult terrains like the Himalayas.
When General Rawat was asked about this, he said that there has been a change in Chinese deployment along the border with India.
Especially after the incidents in Galwan and other areas in May and June 2020.
Thereafter, they realized that they needed better training and better preparation. It is noteworthy that on June 15 last year, the Chinese army suffered heavy losses in the Galvan Valley conflict.
General Rawat said that India has to keep an eye on all the activities of China in this area and Indian soldiers are very expert in fighting in this area.
The Tibet Autonomous Region is a difficult region. This is a mountainous area. For this, you need special training. In which our soldiers are very skilled.
Whereas for the Chinese, it is not. This is part of the training they are carrying out. We have to keep our guard and keep an eye on all the activities of the Chinese army.
