Afghanistan’s Terrorists Threaten Neighboring Countries

Afghanistan’s terrorists threaten neighboring countries, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov accepted India’s point.

Till now, India has been saying in international forums that terrorists can enter other countries from the soil of Afghanistan and such danger is increasing.

Now Russia has also accepted India’s point and has bluntly told the Taliban that the threat of terrorists and drugs operating in Afghanistan from there to neighboring countries is more real than before.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said this at a conference on Afghanistan in Moscow.

Apart from the representatives of the Taliban, representatives of other countries including India, China, Iran, Pakistan were also present in the meeting of the Moscow Format Dialog.

Till the filing of this report, the meeting was going on in Moscow and what was said by the Indian delegation in it was not known.

But it is only by joining this meeting that India has indicated that it is willing to be a part of any international initiative regarding Afghanistan.

India is also trying to hold a separate meeting of National Security Advisors (NSA) of the countries concerned on Afghanistan and its related security issues.

Indian representatives in Moscow are believed to have talked about this future meeting with Russia and other countries on Wednesday.

In the meeting, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov raised all the issues about which India has been expressing concern.

Afghanistan’s terrorists threaten: Lavrov said that terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda and Islamic State are trying their best to take advantage of the situation in Afghanistan.

The problem of drug production in Afghanistan is also not over. In today’s date, the danger of terrorist activities and drug menace from there is more in neighboring countries.

Russia is particularly concerned about the penetration of these threats into Central Asian countries.

The Russian foreign minister said, “We appeal to the Taliban not to allow anyone in their country to use the territory of Afghanistan against any other neighboring country.”

Lavrov also asked Taliban representatives to give representation to all classes of people in the government.

He advocated the inclusion of not only the minority community but also people from other political ideologies.
