Action is being taken to make the ceasefire agreement a success: Army Commander General Joshi said.
Army Commander of the Northern Command, Lt Gen YK Joshi has said that serious action is being taken to make the ceasefire agreement on the Line of Control successful.
The Northern Command chief said that at present, India and Pakistan stand by their commitment to maintaining peace along the Line of Control.
But even in these circumstances, the Indian Army has not reduced its level of alertness. The highest level of vigil is maintained along the Line of Control.
Talking to the media on Tuesday, General YK Joshi said that there is peace on the Line of Control at this time.
In such a situation, he wants to assure the countrymen that all possible action is being taken by the Indian Army to ensure the security of the country’s borders.
The Army Commander said that the current situation along the Line of Control is a symbol of the seriousness of our country’s peace.
In the situation arising out of corona infection from our side, all possible action is being taken seriously on the basis of humanity.
An important decision of ceasefire between the armies of both the countries was taken on 25 February this year.
Since then, people living on the border have also breathed a sigh of relief due to no shelling between the two countries.
Prior to this decision, shelling was often done by Pakistan with the intention of disturbing the situation on the border
. People living close to the border were harmed by this shelling. A strong response was also given to this shelling from the Indian Army. There is peace on the border for almost 3 months now.

Sujit Kumar, a resident of Gailon village of Tehsil Kahra, shot dead his two sons Kamal and Chandra at around 10.30 pm on Monday.

Soon after the incident, the police reached the spot and started an investigation, but till now the police have not reached any concrete conclusion.
