Zydus Cadila’s corona vaccine is going to be launched in the country soon.

NITI Aayog Member (Health) Dr.VK Pal said on Thursday that the Zydus Cadila vaccine will be administered to people through an applicator.

This applicator will be used for the first time in India. The Drug Controller General of India (DGCI) has approved the emergency use of this vaccine a few days ago.

Addressing a press conference, Dr. Pal said that the Zydus Cadila vaccine is administered through an applicator, not using a conventional syringe or needle.

On the availability of the vaccine, Pal said that preparations are on to introduce Zydus Cadila’s vaccine under the National Immunization Program very soon.

The DGCI on August 20 approved Zydus Cadila’s vaccine for emergency use.

Learn about Zydus Cadila’s Vaccine.

This vaccine is the world’s first plasmid DNA vaccine. After giving the first dose, the second and third doses of this vaccine will be given on the 28th day and on the 56th day.

This vaccine is approved for use in adolescents aged 12 to 18 years. It is noteworthy that some types of vaccines are given through the mouth (oral) or through the nose (nasal) rather than by injection.

The nasal vaccine is given through the applicator. It acts as an atomizer and the dose reaches the body through the nose.

No decision on price yet.

Zydus Cadila has proposed the price of its three-dose anti-coronavirus vaccine Zycov-D at Rs 1,900.

But talks are on between the government and the company to reduce the price and a final decision is expected this week.

Research on booster dose.

Dr. Pal said that research is going on regarding the booster dose of the corona vaccine and the progress related to it is being monitored. He said that it is an emerging science.

The figures are still coming out. We know that Covaccine has been studied at booster doses.

Those results are going to be available soon. We also know that immunity can be lost, but the presence of T-cell immunity is a major defense that needs to be taken into account.
