World Athletics Championship: Meerut’s Annu Rani finished seventh in America, lauded by the athletics team.

Athletics Annu Rani Meerut’s Annu Rani finished seventh with a javelin throw of 61.12 meters in the ongoing Athletics World Championships in America.

Earlier, Annu Rani was ranked eighth in the World Championships held in Doha.

Placed in Top 8.

After Anju Bobby George, Annu Rani is the only female athlete to finish in the top 8 in two consecutive World Championships.

Officials of the District Athletics Association appreciated Annu Rani’s performance and said that it was a great achievement to remain in the top 8. Annu Rani is expected to perform better.

At the same time, the success of Annu Rani, the national champion of Meerut, continued in the athletics and javelin throw events.

29-year-old Annu Rani, who missed out on a medal at the Tokyo Olympics, has entered the final of the Javelin Throw event at the World Athletics Championships.

She is the first female athlete in the country to achieve this honor. Their finals will be held on Friday at 5:00 AM IST. Japan’s Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Neeraj Chopra will also compete tomorrow.

Before this, Annu Rani participated in the javelin throw competition on Thursday morning in the championship being held in Oregon, America.

Annu Rani is ranked eighth among the 12 athletes selected for the javelin throw final. His best throw was 59.60 meters, on which he made it to the finals.

Annu Rani claimed a qualification berth with a throw of 55.35m in her first attempt and 59.60m in her final attempt. Annu Rani made another record by reaching the final.

She is the first women’s javelin thrower from the country to reach the final for the second consecutive time at the World Championships.

Earlier, Annu Rani also reached the finals in the 2019 Athletics World Championships in Doha and was ranked eighth in the exhibition.

Annu’s personal best is 63.82m. I hope she will give her best in the final.

Among the athletes who reached the finals, Japan’s Haruka is in the first place, giving her best performance this season with a javelin throw of 64.32 meters.
