Vivo has emerged as India’s number-1 5G smartphone brand in the third quarter of 2021. Vivo ranks first in India’s top 5G smartphone brand list with an 18 percent market share.
While Samsung has emerged as the second-largest 5G brand in India with 16 percent.
This has been revealed from the data for the third quarter of the year 2021 of CMR’s India Mobile Handset Market Review Report.
During this, more than 20 5G-capable smartphones were launched in India. The market share of 5G phones in the total smartphone shipments in the third quarter of 2021 was around 22 percent.
OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Samsung, and Vivo brands have seen the highest shipments of 5G smartphones in India.
According to Shipra Singha, Analyst, Industry Intelligence Group, CMR, then consumers are demanding pasture-proof 5G smartphones, due to which the demand for 5G smartphones is registering an increase.
These 5 brands together have shipped 5G smartphones worth $3 billion in the third quarter of 2021. In the third quarter of the year, the demand for 5G smartphones has registered a growth of 47 percent.

At the same time, there has been a decline of 21 percent in the shipments of feature phones compared to last year. At the same time, there has been a decrease of 27 percent in the demand for 2G smartphones.
