United Nations and America condemned the suicide attack in Pakistan, ISIS claimed responsibility.
The United Nations and the United States have condemned Sunday’s suicide attack in Pakistan, saying terrorism in all its forms is unjustified and a blot on a peaceful and democratic society.
How many people died?
A suicide attack took place at a political conference of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Sunday.
54 people died in this attack, while more than 100 people were injured. The responsibility of this attack was taken by the banned terrorist organization ISIS.
What did the UNGA say?
United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) President C Korosi strongly condemned the suicide attack in Khyber province. UN spokesman said,
He said Si Korosi urged the international community to strengthen its efforts to combat terrorism and bring the perpetrators to justice.
At the same time, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Did America say anything?
US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that we are deeply saddened by the loss of life in the blast and express our condolences to the victims of the attack.
