Security of the Indo-Pacific region is important for the world, PM Modi said – QUAD is the engine of innovation and development.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met with the heads of state of the Quad countries in Hiroshima, Japan.
In the ongoing Quad meeting between PM Modi, US President Joe Biden, Australian PM Anthony Albanese, and Japanese PM Fumio Kishida, PM Modi said that the Quad grouping is an important platform to ensure peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific.
He said that this forum will continue to strive for global good, the welfare of people, prosperity, and peace.

India will chair the Quad Conference in 2024.
PM Modi also congratulated Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for chairing the summit.
He said, “I congratulate and congratulate Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for the successful chairmanship of this summit. India will be happy to host the Quad Leaders’ Summit in 2024.”
