A 24-year-old Indian student working as a food delivery partner in Canada has been killed after a violent attack during a carjacking.

Gurvinder Nath was making pizza deliveries at Britannia and Creditview in Mississauga at around 2:10 a.m. on July 9 when some suspects killed him, a local CTV news channel reported.

Pizza was intentionally ordered at a deserted place.

Inspector Phil King of Peel Regional Police’s Homicide Bureau said:

“Investigators believe there are a number of suspects involved and that the food order was deliberately placed at this address to make it easier for the delivery agent to be harmed.”

He said investigators had obtained an audio recording of a pizza order placed before the attack.

Nath died during treatment.

Police said that after Nath arrived, he was violently attacked and seriously injured by a suspect. After that, they took their vehicle and ran away from there.

Several people came to his aid and took Nath to the hospital before he was taken to a trauma center, but he was declared brought dead on 14 July.
