Uttar Pradesh Govt Sent Recommendation For CBI Probe

Uttar Pradesh govt sent a recommendation to the CBI probe in the Hathras scandal. The Uttar Pradesh govt is also taking steps towards investigation at the same pace as the political enthusiasts are increasing in the Hathras incident.

The Uttar Pradesh govt, which immediately constituted the SIT to investigate the incident, has suspended five police personnel, including the SP, on charges of negligence. Meanwhile, on Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath decided to get the case investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

In the same sequence, on Sunday, the Home Department of the state sent the recommendation of the CBI inquiry to the Central Government along with the documents related to the incident.

There are allegations of gang-rape of a deceased woman in the Hathras incident. The pre-death victim made the same statement, on the basis of which the four accused have been booked and sent to jail, but according to the police, the post-mortem and forensic report has not confirmed the rape.

To get to the bottom of the case and to punish the culprits, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to conduct a CBI inquiry. Explain that Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi and DGP Hitesh Chandra Awasthi met the victim’s family in Hathras on Saturday.

He also met many public representatives and gathered detailed information from senior officials about all the facts related to the whole case. Both the officers came back and told the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday evening about all the facts revealed in Hathras, after which the Chief Minister decided to conduct a CBI inquiry after a thorough review of the case.

The woman’s family also expressed dissatisfaction with the investigation of the SIT investigating the Hathras incident. However, the family later expressed satisfaction with the action taken by senior officials about the case.

Please tell that the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court has summoned the Additional Chief Secretary Home and other officers including DGP on October 12, taking automatic cognizance of the Hathras incident.

The court had also asked to consider handing over the investigation to another investigating agency in case the case is not handled properly. At the same time, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also gave strict instructions to take strict action against the culprits in the case.

A day earlier, five policemen, including SP Vikrant Veer of Hathras and the then CO Ram Shabad, were suspended after getting the first report of the SIT constituted under the chairmanship of Home Secretary Bhagwan Swaroop to investigate the case.
